Saturn Repair: 97 Saturn no start no spark no fuel, crankshaft position sensor, fuse panel
QuestionMy neighbor has a 97 Saturn I think it is a sc1, it stalls when he is driving it than after a few hours it starts again, now it will not start at all. I went to hear if his fuel pump was working when you first turn the key on, I did not hear nothing, so I pulled the fuel line off before the filter, turned the key on, no gas flow, so I thought it was the fuel pump, So I sprayed some gas into the intake hoping it would fire up, nothing. I looked if the plugs had any spark, no spark at the plug. any help would be appreciated, Thanks Darren
AnswerI would check the fuel pump fuse in the fuse panel under the hood and the ECM fuse on the passenger side of the center console. If they are both ok, I would take it to a repair shop to see if it is getting a signal from the crankshaft position sensor and if the fuel pump is getting the correct command. Further diagnosis may be required.
