Saturn Repair: A/C Clutch Replacement, clutch replacement, shaft seal

Hey Chris,

I saw your write up about the clutch replacement but I have one more question. With the system under pressure are you able to remove the clutch without losing the freon? I have a 2000 SL2 Saturn. More or less curious as to if I need to drain the system.

 No need to drain the freon.  The shaft seal on the compressor takes care of that for you.  Just be careful, if you remove the compressor, try not to turn it at akward angles, the hose seals don't take well to it.  Hope this helps,
