Saturn Repair: ecm troubl ecodes, autozone auto parts, jumper wire

Do you know if it is possible to retrieve the
troubls codes from the ecm of a 1996 satrun sedan
with out using a scanner, for isntance using a
jumper wire between two terminal on the connector
beneath the dashboard.

Hi Paul,
to the best of my knowledge, no.  But, A reputable Saturn dealer will read the codes for free.  If they won't, AutoZone auto parts stores will do it for free.
