No spark. engine starter turns engine over.  Ran very well when last used.parked three weeks ago. All wire connection secure.

You have a safety switch preventing spark.  To verify, find the shut-off connection point, usually a single wire that is a spade type connector, dis-connect and re-check for spark.  If you have spark then you know the ignition module is fine and you have a safety switch issues.  When you dis-connect the small wire you isolate the rest of the mowers wire harness, including the safety switches from the ignition module.  No tools necessary to dis-connect the wire and only takes a few seconds to check...quick way to verify if the ignition module is properly working.
