Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): mclane edger

QUESTION: Hi, I have a Mclane edger, that needs a new engine. In this case can i buy a new briggs and stratton motor and install it , or would I be better off buying a new machine?  The model # is 60102. The type is 0391-01.       Thank you.

QUESTION: No I am not. I got it last year, and it worked great for about 8 months. I think the engine seized up.

Yes Rod, I would put a engine on it because you already have the edger frame and you can buy a horizontal engine a reasanobile price from harbor freight for $60 or $70 with there 20 percent off coupon, I have purchased motors from them in the past and they are very reliable.
