I am  taking a small engine repair class and I am supposed to find the ring end gap specs for my lawn mower engine. I have looked everywhere and cannot find anything. My engine is a 1994 Briggs and Stratton push mower with the model number of 12F702-0616-01. Any answer would be much appreciated. Thank you.

12 cubic inch block...very common.

Manual URL below.  See section 9 and use the table to find the reject size for aluminum cylinders.  If the gap is greater than the reject size the rings need to be replaced.
