Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): primer, k66, fuel line

Question
I have gotten an Echo Srm-230 frm a friend. It was getting air in the gas line. I found a crack on the body assy. where the gas lines connect to carb.  I ordered a new one and replaced it. Also replaced the fuel/air filters and primer bulb. Now when i try to prime it the bulb doesn't want to pop back out and barely gets fuel.  I checked the fuel line routing against a new trimmer at home depot.  Would really like to get this thing working.  i'll try almost anything.

Did you try switching the fuel/primer lines?  Which part did you replace?  The carburetor base plate?


Do you have a Zama RB-K66 carburetor?

If so, did you download the service repair manual?
