QuestionI have a SearsCraftsman tractor with this transaxle. A problem developed. In forward drive, everything works normal. In reverse, about a month ago, I started hearing a loud grinding noise. And now, when I hit the reverse pedal, it seems to lock up the transaxle and my drive belt is thrown off the pulley. Any idea of how to fix this? Sears is of absolute zero help.
AnswerHave you tried changing the fluid?

Is the brake assembly causing the noise? Make sure the transaxle bolts are tight.
Let me know what you find.
