Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): weedeater oil/gas mix, oil containers, gas mixture

I have a Poulan weedeater, about 10 years old.  What is the best oil/gas mixture for this item?  The oil is of course 2 in one engine oil. My gas can is 1 gal variety.  How much oil do I add to that gas can?  Jim

Answer
The oil mix should be 40:1.  The amount of oil you add to the gas depends on the size of the oil container.  Most oil containers are sold with enough oil to make 1 gal of gas.  Read the back or side of the oil container to determine how much oil needed to make 1 gal of gas.
