Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 18HP.Briggs , v- Twin Vanguard, breather filter, compression check
QuestionThe motor seems to run fine , but the engine oil is finding it's way up to the carb.,and air breather. I did a compression check on it . 1side was 110 and the other was 130 . This has got me stumped? Can you put some light on this problem? Thanks for any Help you might share. William
AnswerWilliam
As far as the compression they are with in range,One of the reasons the engine oil is back flowing in the carburetor is because ,oil is in the line. The vacuum will Suck oil back to the carburetor Check you breather Filter and Breather lines.it is a vaccum line comming from the breather, also make sure engine is not over full on oil,use carb cleaner to clean out carb and main jet, hope this helps
