i have a yardman 1991 i got it from a friend no key and no ignition for the key so so how what wires do i connect to turn it on

Do just need to buy an ignition switch?  What is the model number of the mower?  You will find the model number on a sticker,about the size of a business card, usually located on the or under the rear fenders or seat.

Send me the model number so I can look up the mower's information.
