Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 14.5 hp briggs and stratton ohv engine, briggs and stratton, hp briggs
Questionwhere is the governor for a 14.5 hp briggs and stratton ohv engine? and if i take the governor off what could happen to the engine?
AnswerThe governor is inside the engine but the governor arm is outside the engine connected to the carburetor linkage. If you disconnect the governor arm it is possible to cause internal engine damage.
Have you been to Brigg's website and read their governor adjustment section?
