QuestionHello
I have a True Value snow blower and need some help and parts; the snow blowers information is below. I was taking the carb. Apart to clean it and just as I had it apart, I dropped it and needless to say parts went everywhere. I need to know is there one or two springs to make the diaphragm operate, The part #691799 shows two but the description just says spring diaphragm, Anyway do you have these in stock and also can you tell and show me just how and where they are placed back into the carb. It looks as if maybe one goes on each side of the diaphragm, but again I have no idea, and I can’t seem to find a picture showing just how they go back in. Please Help?
Thanks
Chris

You have an unusual carb. It has a fuel pump built in. Fuel pumps are not that complicated but you may have to do some research to figure out how it goes back together. Check out this Briggs link:

You will need both springs. They should sit under the little flapper valves on the diaphragm, usually there is a round post on the carburetor body casting to hold the springs in place.
Can you see any marks or indention on the old diaphragm that will help identify the spring(s) location?
