QuestionWhat is wrong with my tractor? When it surges up hill and when you first put in into gear sometimes it won't move. If you give it a little push it will go. It's not the oil level.
AnswerSounds like the pump is going bad. I would first suggest changing the fluid and filter if you haven't already done so. Also, make sure the drive belt is in good condition. If it still gives you problems, you are probably looking at replacing the hydro pump, or possibly something else internal, which unfortunately, can be pretty pricy.
