QuestionHi Eric,Hope u might can help.have a JD leaf blower.no fire.feel sure the igntion coil is bad JD p/n is M79374, Phelon number is 31857 with an RE before,,,dunno if the re means anything.saw a post on here where John said that a Sears p/n 530.039137 is the same but the sears number is no good....any info or is the part obsolete now?
AnswerDid you Google the JD part number? Is your blower a model 2BV?

FYSA, most of the coils that you can bolt on will work on the blower...just have to find one similar. It is cheaper for a company to buy a basic Phelon module, which most are the same, rather than order custom ignition modules with custom timing maps.
