Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): points, briggs and stratton, nova ii

how and what do i need to switch from point to electric ingion on a briggs and stratton 5hp engine. engin number is 130292 type 0803-1

Answer
Nova II modules work great and are easy to install.  You can also install the Briggs Magnatron ignition kit but this requires soldering a couple of wires.  The third option is to just replace the entire coil with a new electronic ignition coil but this is the most expensive option.

I'd go with the Nova II as it is fairly inexpensive and fairly easy to install.
