Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): self propelled lawn mower, self propelled lawn mower, clutch control

I have a honda mtd pro  model 378Q lawnmower.
Last week I cut the lawn then used a hose to clean the grass
underneath. This week wanted to cut lawn, engine starts but
the drive clutch control lever will not move.Did the water
cause a problem.   How can this be fixed.  please help

Not being familiar with this particular mower, I can only guess that the water either helped pack some grass or debris by the clutch. I really don't thinka week is enough time for one of these to rust together unless you live near the ocean or you wash it off every week and it never gets dry.
