Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Mastercraft lawnmower, fuel tank, fuel filter

My lawnmower tends to cut out a lot.  It starts out strong but cuts out after 10-15 seconds.  If you keep pressing the gas primer thing, it will keep going.  Is the air filter blocked or is there water in the lines.  or am i wrong altogether.

its definitely a fuel problem somehow. remember, you need
fuel
air
spark

If you have proven you have them and even get it to run The Carb may need rebuilding as it sounds like there is a blockage somewhere.. is there an inline fuel filter? or maybe the vent to the fuel tank is blocked? Not knowing what kind of mower you have or the engine or any other information other than my lawnmower cuts out that is not enough information.
