Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): smoke and oil leaking from exhaust, leak gas, oil level

I have a B%26S 6.5hp mower. runs great then starts to blow white smoke from exhaust, then i noticed oil under muffler. there is also oil building in air filter. Is my mower a easy fix?

Is the oil level too high and does the engine oil smell like gasoline?

It is common for Briggs and Tecumseh engine carburetors to leak gas into the engine oil thinning the oil and causing the oil to come out the muffler.

Let me know about the engine oil.
