Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): mower governor, engine speed, lawn mower

I have a b&s 17 hp on a scotts model s1742 mower. could you please desribe what the governor looks like and how to remove it properly. thank you

I would not recommend removing the governor because the engine speed will be too unstable.

Are you using the enigne for another application, not a lawn mower?
