Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda 10hp pull start malfunction, starter dogs, honda generator

I have a Honda Generator..the pull start was working fine...suddenly it just pulls in and out and wont pull the motor over...not connecting at all..remote property so I have to find a fix quick..

Sounds like the Starter dogs are broken.they are a parts that hold the engine when you pull it then releases when it starts. Take off the pull stater and there you may find the problem.I am only guessing because you provided me with no model # Serial # and engine #

yes you can fix them  and you also can buy a new starter housing if you get me the #'s I can give you the part numbers also include what kind of engine is It a GX GS?
