Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): drive belt, spec numbers, honda engine

Question
how do you change the belt on a self propelled 160cc honda engine(craftsman)? i removed the blade but i cant get it around the plastic cover on the bottom, dont i have to have a gear puller to remove the pulley from the crank? thanks!
