I am not getting any spark. I haven't changed any parts yet and was not sure where to start.

Answer
Make sure all your safety switches are funtioning, seat, pto, brake pedal, etc.
If all that checks out then check your wiring going to the engine check for any wore or frayed wires shorting to ground.
if all that is good, then your electronic ingition module has probably failed.
Sometimes you can remove the module and have it tested.
