Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere LX176, 14 hp Kawasaki, john deere lx176, bolt torque
QuestionHello John, I see where you helped a gentleman with a 14hp Kawasaki several years ago on the bolt torque for the crankcase cover - is the re-installation sequence of the bolts on the crankcase cover for this engine important? Thanks! Chuck
AnswerHello Chuck:
>>It is Better to Tighten these Bolts in a Crisscross Pattern. This way the 2 Parts are Pulled together in a Uniform Manner and the Gasket will Not Kink or 1 of the 2 Parts cannot become Warped.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
Good Luck
