QuestionI have a B&S rototiller 190402-858-99 will not spark replaced spark plug and points and condenser. Going to replace the Magneto but the new one I have does not have the wires to the condenser I have magneto part# 298968. do I need to add the wires from Magneto to condenser, or do I have the wrong Magneto?

IF YOU HAVE A MAGNETRON UNIT YOU WILL ONLY SEE A GAP ON ONE SIDE OF THE COIL WINDING
THE POINT MODEL ARMATURE HAS A GAP ON BOTH SIDES OF THE COIL WINDING

AND YES YOU SHOULD HAVE A STOP WIRE GOING TO STOP SWITCH AND OTHER WIRE GOING TO COIL PRIMARY INPUT WIRE ( BOTH OF THESE CONNECT AT THE CONDENSOR TIP THAT HAS A HOLE IN IT FOR THEM ( YOU WILL NEED TO FIT LITTLE SPRING AND THEN COMPRESS IT A LITTLE AND FIT BOTH WIRES MENTIONED TO IT
AND CLAMP CONDENSOR IN PLACE ,ROTATE THE ENGINE UNTIL THE POINTS ARE AT THEIR WIDEST
AND MOVE THE CONDESOR FWD OR BACK UNTIL YOU ACHIEVE 0.020" GAP AND TIGHTEN CONDENSOR CLAMP BOLT
REFIT POINT COVER AND FLYWHEEL -SET IGNITION COIL AIR GAP TO 0.0010" WITH THE MAGNETS DIRECTLY UNDERNEATH AND TIGHTEN THE ARMATURE CLAMPING BOLTS TEMPORARILY FIT START COVER AND RECHECK SPARK SHOULD SPARK GOOD IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED POINTS AND PLUNGER AND CONDENSOR CORRECTLY
