I have a TORO lawn mower #20017 It does not want to stay running, when you pull the string it fires up only for a second then it dies, please help!

Classic dirty carburetor.  Repair link:

Google or You Tube Tecumseh or small engine or lawn mower carburetor cleaning and you will find lots of videos.

As a quick solution, you can try draining the fuel from the carburetor float bowl by removing the carburetor float bowl nut located on the bottom of the carburetor.  Make sure the hole in the float bowl nut are clean.

Let me know if cleaning the carb fixes the mower.
