When I let off brake to put in gear the engine dies  cant get it out of neutral.

can you give me more info   let me know  exactly what husqvarna model /

is this machine gth25/48 ?, is it a manual gearbox  or hydro unit , is  pto for blades electric or manual cable engage ,   gather its a  triple blade 48 " deck    25 hp  vee twin  
let me know engine model and type , spec numbers


here are some idea's

sounds like  the seat switch may be  faulty , not detecting operator presence
blade switch may  faulty  , or  the  brake / clutch switch may be faulty

try a jump wire  from white wire to white wire @ clutch / brake connector

try a jump wire across the seat switch terminals  or leave it  disconncted if that is no better

as to cant get out of nuetral - could be jammed or something bent / locking it
have a look at mechanisim  visually
