Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): briggs and stratton, small engine warehouse, briggs and stratton

I purchased a side shaft engine to put on a go cart.Model# 190402 type 0689-01 ser#7012101.It is a large engine i need points and possibly a carb.Could you tell me the size of engine and where i could get parts.It is a big motor possibly a 9hp or 10hp not for shure thanks

body lower  ( if can get one 390680) your local briggs dealer may be able to locate carb
body upper  390404

from memory this is at least a 10 hp  horizontal side valve  engine with a up draft carb

try jacks small engine warehouse ( see there web site )
