Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): b48m, electric fuel pump, mr gasket

i have a case 448 with a onan engine it seems to stall out. i thuoght it was the fuel pump but you state that it might be the vent in the fuel tank . my question is can you use a electric fuel pump to replace the one on the carb
