QuestionI have a hawgty scooter made in china its JF 168 Jiangdong 5.5 hp the engine gasket was leaking oil so i took it apart to replace it and the timing gear came out. its an ohv. engine and on the timing gear/cam has two marks on it. I dont know which mark to line it up with can you please help me. thank you.
AnswerHello Warren Maffit:
>>There is a Mark (-) on the Crankshaft Gear Tooth and a Dot(.) between the Teeth on the Cam that have to be Matched for the Valve Timing to be Correct. Usually the Larger Dot is the Timing Mark.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
