Questioni have a blower i can pull and pull and it won't start. it will act like it wants to but then it goes away.

what make model 2 or 4 stroke straight or bent shaft
has the unit been sitting for quite a while ie how long ?
is fuel mix fresh and correct amount of oil in mix ?
has unit got good spark ? is spark consistant? - new plug
is compression good ?
is muffler not blocked or restricted ?
is fuel filter blocked / restricted
is the carb flooding - raw fuel mix in combustion chamberor crankcase or comming out muffler
can you let me know so i can narrow it down
