Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Huskee Riding Mower 16.5 hp. MTD, engine model type, oil level

Question
I was mowing just fine, then all of a sudden the engine sped up faster %26 faster I had no control over the throttle, the cable was moving but no response, I shut it down and started it back up with the same results, I shut it down again and now I get nothing.
Someone said it could be locked up or the throttle pin is buggered
up. What and where  is the throttle pin?

Answer
Did you check the carburetor throttle linkages, carburetor butterfly shaft, and governor arm for binding?  The carburetor butterfly shaft should be easy to move by hand.

Is the engine oil level correct?  What is the engine model, type and code number?
