Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): lawnmower keeps dying, check fuel, push mower

my push mower keeps dying and i have to let it cool off before it will start again and it is still hard to start

You don't say what kind of motor you have so I will have to be general. Check fuel tank for trash and/or water. Remove the carb and give it a good cleaning making sure all jets and ports are open. Check the flywheel and magneto arms for rust and trash buildup. Hope this helps.
