Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ardisam Earthquake MC43E Caught on fire, Ardisam, Earthquake
QuestionI have an Earthquake MC43E that I purchased about two months ago from one of those "big box stores"
While I was using it today I began to smell gasoline. I checked the fuel cap and made sure it was tight, I continued to use it when the cultivator virtually EXPLODED and caught on fire. The fire spread to a pile of dry grass, weeds, in my garden while i went to retrieve a garden hose to put the fire out. I put the fire out. I called the store and they told me to call the company. I told them of my great concern with this product. The person I spoke to on the phone said that they have had several of these units returned that have caught on fire in the past. Since I am past the 30 day period I am left to fight my own battle.
My question is two fold:
Have you ever heard of this product and problem?
Who should I contact for warranty service?
Thanks
