Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawn mower, oil drain plug, briggs and stratton

I have a lawn mower with a 6.6 HP Briggs and Stratton engine.   Where is the oil drain plug located?

Answer
On the bottom of the engine.  There may be a mower shield/belt guard preventing you from seeking the plug.

Most autopart stores sell tools the remove the oil from the dipstick tube.  The tools are often run using a drill or they contain a resevoir with a pump to pump warm oil from the engine.  I prefrer the fluid evacuator tools.  Much eaiser for changing the oil.
