Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Riding Mower, 30 amp fuse, craftsman riding mower

I have a Craftsman mower model #917.271011 - I just replaced a burned out relay and the 30 amp fuse and it started right up but now when I let the clutch out or engage the blade it shuts off... Did I put it back together incorrectly or do I need to replace something else?

Sounds like someething, safety switch related, is the problem.  The machine is designed to shut-off if the clutch or blades engaged and the operator is not on the machine.

Which relay did you replace?  Did you purchase the correct relay?

Have you checked the safety switches?  Why did the fuse blow?
