Irecntly acquired a 1968 self propelled yardman lawn mower tractor 400cc 38inch cut in good shape,runs great. I;m just wondering how much it would be worth.

I have no idea.  I would recommend posting a few pictures at Smokstak.com and asking there.  In really good shape it could be worth a good bit more than a new one if there are collectors for them.  I have a few old Sears mowers and am getting an older Wheel Horse.  There's quite a few collectors of those two and they bring $2-5,000 in restored condition.  I would think that a Yard Man of that vintage, which I believe was sold by Montgomery Ward or another department store, would be in the same price range, but I have nothing to back that up.  It sounds like a neat old tractor though and should be fun to cut the yard with.
