Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 1986 Polaris 250 Trail Boss ATV, polaris atv, trail boss
QuestionI have a 1986 Polaris 250 Trail Boss and it broke down and wouldnt start, so I took the carbuetor off and cleaned it with some carbuetor cleaner. It will start now but it sounds the like the throttel is wide open. I was wondering if you could help me figure out why it is doing that and if there is any way I could fix it. It's a 2cycle mottor and it has a Mikuni carburetor.
AnswerHello Josh:

You can View a Breakdown of this Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.atv-parts-center.com/ and Select Polaris ATV Click Here. Now Select Polaris ATV. Now Enter the Requested Information. Now Select the Carburetor File. The Throttle Valve is #8 in the Breakdown.
