Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): craftmans chainsaw 55cc, mtd parts lookup, sears craftsman

I bought this saw few years ago[2005] ,,well the oilier broke and now sears/craftsman says the saw has been discontinued.. I thought I found a part from MTD but they had no picture so I didn`t want to gamble...anyway here is what I have model # 316.350840 serial # 05 family 5MHXS.0555AA EM thank you..

I found the parts diagram at searspartsdirect, and came up with
part number 9228-310208.

Then with that number, I went to an MTD parts lookup, and searched that part number, and came up with the same illustration and
saw.  If you wish to view it, there is a free parts lookup at
Milaca Lawn and Garden's web site, just google it.  When you get to the lookup, type in 41by85ar799 as the model number, on the MTD
lookup.
   I believe the saw was made by McCulloch for Sears, and MTD
handles it.  Trying to keep up with who owns who, and makes what is a full time job.  
  Nevertheless, that is the best way to assure you that you will get the correct part.
