Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Sears Chainsaw Cylinder Replacement, cylinder replacement, permatex

I have a Sears 36cc chainsaw, Model 358.350561 with a 16" bar.  The cylinder and piston are scored and require replacement.  What type of sealant should be used between the crankcase and the cylinder?
