Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Location of serial #, info bob, jacksmallengines

I have a Kaw liquid cooled OHV FD620D motor and want to buy parts but can't seem to find a serial# on the engine.It's in a JD425 mower. Could you suggest a good online source for parts? Thanks for the info    Bob

Jacksmallengines.com is one of the more popular online sites that has Kawasaki parts and they have a good reputation.  I don't remember where the S/N is.  Some it's stamped into the valve cover.  It should be on the id label too, but we see very few Kawasaki's in the shop so I'm not sure about that.
