Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Which Engine do I need?, engine model type, riding lawn mower

I have an 1999 or 2000 model Snapper 33" High Vac riding lawn mower that was run without any oil in it.  The rod cracked thge engine housing.  I need to find a new engine but do not see the same B&S engine on-line that was orginally on the mower.  Which B&S or maybe Kohler engines will work/fit my mower?
