Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 2 Stage Snow Thrower, skid shoes, snow thrower

I have a 10hp Simplicity that leaves scratches in the driveway when I use it, they eventually fade after a few months but are quite unsightly at first and are actaully gouging out the concrete.  What suggestions do you have for preventing this?  Right now I have aftermarket Metal Skid Shoes (Universal was all I could find) I appreciate your time, thank you.
