Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): poulan chainsaw, bolts and nuts, model numbers

my trigger assy spring has become misaligned or broken, not sure which.  i noticed that the housing is rivted closed.  are these rivets removable, and if yes, how?

Hello Dennis:

>>If this Unit has Rivets in the Housing, then it is Supposed to be a Non Consumer Serviceable Unit. You can Drill Out the Rivets and Replace them with Bolts and Nuts. However, you must be Careful and Drill the Rivet and Not the Housing.
