Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): john deere, fuel cap, fuel filter
QuestionI have a jd L110 with a kohler 17.5 command engine. I am not getting consistant fuel through my fuel filter. The filter is new and so is the fuel pump. the lines are all clear. The mower runs real good but when you see the fuel filter get empty it isn't refilling and it emptys and eventually quits.
AnswerCheck that the fuel cap is vented correctly, try running it without the cap and see if that takes care of the problem, if the vent on the cap is failing it will become vacuum locked in the tank. Also check that the tank has no obstructions, debris, clogged screen (if so equipped) and that the connector between the tank and line is unobstructed.....Tom
