QUESTION: How do i set the timing. i replaced a bent crank shaft, and did not look at how the belt was lined up with the cam and the crank.Thank you

ANSWER: I believe there is alignment mark on the camshaft tooth that would line up with the crankshaft gear.  I would suggest going to www.Hondapowerequipment.com and searching for service manual by model and serial number.  I hope this information has helped.

QUESTION: does the timing belt have anything to do with it. i can not find a mark on the crank shaft gear, there is a arrow on the shaft. the cam gear no marks either. if the belt can go on anyway and not be lined up, i might have it right.

This has gone beyond my expertise with this model engine.  I suggest talking to someone else or purchasing a Honda service manual for this engine.  You may also try your local library sometimes they carry the manuals.  Just make a copy of the pages you want..  Sorry I couldn't of been a more help good luck on your project.
