Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): spark plug &gap, mtd snow blower, briggs and stratton

hi john i was recently given a mtd snow blower model no. 310-181-000 problem is it doesnt have a spark plug in it. I need to know what size of plug and gap, I dont know how to find what type or brand of engine it has    jim

Thanks for Sending the Unit Model Numbers. However, the MTD Breakdown for this Unit Does Not Show the Engine or the Engine Model. This Unit can have a Briggs and Stratton or Tecumseh Engine. Usually You can Use a CJ8 or a J17LM Plug for Most Small Engines. For the Correct Spark Plug Number, Send me the Model and Type or Spec Numbers Off the Engine, Please.
