Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawnmower, needle nose pliers, carburetor
QuestionI have a 3.5 hp Tecumseh. I am trying to change the fuel plunger on the carburetor, I can't see how to get it out to replace it.is there is a clip holding it in
Can you give me any advice.Thank you

AnswerIf the primer bulb of is embedded in the side of the carburetor usually it fits into a groove inside the casting. The best way to get out the old one is to grasp it with a needle nose pliers and just pull out at that point, you will see how the replacement is retained. I would suggest getting the replacement bulb first before you remove the old one, just in case it's on backorder or for some other reason not available you will still be able to use the carburetor with the old one install. I hope this information helps.
