QuestionI recently bought a Honda GX200 Lifan clone at Harbor Freight. I pulled out
the governor, capped the hole with 1/4-20 tap screw and locktite, dropped
in a larger jet 90 into the carb and put on header and new higher capacity air
filter. I have spark, the spark plug is not wet. Valve lash is at .oo2" on
compression and .oo3" on exhaust and I put in 18 lb valve springs. Won't
start or even begin to start. Turns over fine. Not sure what to try. Any help
would be very much appreciated.
AnswerHello Charles:
Open the Valve Clearance. From your Description it Sounds like you Know About Engine Mechanics. I Suggest you Open the Valve Clearance to the Following. Intake .004in, Exhaust .006in.. If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Thanks.
Good Luck
