QuestionI've cleaned the entire engine except the crankcase, i've put clean gas in, and yet my engine will start but not stay running. When I start it it sounds strong then putters out rather quickly. I was thinking that maybe the problem was the timing but I have no idea how to adjust the engine or if that's even the problem. What do you think i need to do to fix it?
It is a Craftsmen Edger Model #:536 796536
Heres a link to my video of me starting it...

Answerfrom what I saw on your video we can determine it has a good spark, and good compression. it the timing was a factor it would misfire when you sprayed the starting fluid rather than run. The problem is your not getting fuel to the engine, either it is the Carburetor needing a good rebuild, or a fuel filter (IF IT HAS ONE) or not getting fuel from the tank. Pull the line before the carb is there a good fuel flow? If yes, you need a carb rebuild (assuming the fuel is fresh and in good shape). If there is not a good flow of gas you will need to back track to the tank to find the blockage.............Tom
PS. Nice job with the video, others please take notice.
